Recently, the market heat of Ethereum (ETH) has continued to rise, with various data attracting attention. The reserve scale of ETH-related ETFs has surpassed the 30 billion USD mark, with 69 financial companies' ETH holdings approaching 20 billion USD. The total open interest of the top three holding institutions has exceeded 10 billion USD, accounting for 3.39% of the ETH Circulating Supply.
This phenomenon aligns with Tom Lee's previous prediction that there is a 50% chance that the market value of ETH will surpass that of Bitcoin. Currently, institutional investors seem to be accumulating Ethereum on a large scale, reminiscent of the market movements during the period when the dollar abandoned the gold standard in 1971.
The latest data shows that the price of ETH has surpassed the $4700 mark. Meanwhile, Grayscale has increased its holdings by 2909 ETH, further boosting market sentiment. However, investors should also be wary of potential liquidation risks. In the past 12 hours, the total liquidation amount across the network reached $526 million, with Ethereum accounting for as much as $315 million.
Looking ahead to the next week, if ETH can stabilize above $4800, a dramatic scenario similar to XRP surpassing BlackRock's market value cannot be ruled out. For investors optimistic about ETH's development prospects, this may be a worthwhile time to consider positioning.
However, it is important to emphasize that the cryptocurrency market is filled with both risks and opportunities. Investors must be cautious when making decisions and fully assess their own risk tolerance.
